While we remodel the Bethel Chalet we will try and catalog the materials that we
used that are more environmentally friendly than the typical home furnishing and
materials. We will try to provide links to the website that sells the product so that
you can also use these materials during your own home construction.
Materials
- Primer and Paint- No volatile organic carbons, maintains healthy air quality
(http://www.thefreshairechoice.com); available at Home Depot.
- The new wrap-around deck has been completed! We used locally processed
pine for the deck and approximately 75% of the old deck boards were reused
as fencing for the builder's horses!
- The game room's pine paneling are from New England pine!
Furnishings
- Glacier Bay low flow toilet- saves over 1.5 gallons of water per flush.

- New queen size bed and mattress on first floor (2009)
- New living room furniture (2007/2008)
